One box stores inside the other box. The burl grain makes these pieces exceptionally beautiful.

Lacewood grain appeared as if it was the depiction of a orchard of fruit trees. The black walnut grain seems tame compared to the lacewood. A great contrast.

This box is made from one piece of wood. The grain pattern is arranged to give the illusion that it is still a solid piece. The pattern wraps the box perfectly.

Once again the unique grain pattern of the Silk Oak provides a grain pattern unlike any I have seen. A graceful weave seems to have been applied to the wood.

This box was turned on the lathe to accent the crystal knob. Yes. I made the box to fit the knob. The lid is lined with aromatic cedar.

Cut from the heart of the crotch. The pattern in the grain looks as if it is a plasma jet erupting from a black hole. Sitting on its stand or hanging on a wall, the piece shows the diversity of straight and wavy grain, it's best feature.

Showing an epic battle. The turned smoothness of the circle is like a tranquil pool surrounded by the rough edges of raw nature.

A wallhanging that invokes a sense of instability. Can you figure out which arm of the galaxy we are on?

Koffee tree, (Catalpa), is very much like Red Oak only it has a little more color. Offset with Walnut and Blood Wood. One grain arches, one droops and the third is wavy. Sold only as a set.

A set of bowls cut from one piece of wood. The grain can be matched from bowl to bowl. One has feet that droop and hold the blow of the table. One has a square plane crossing the center and the third is offset turned with a skewed plane.

Curly Red Oak you say? I had to have it when I saw it. This is the only piece I have been able to cut from 16 feet of material. It is too pretty to cut. I will force myself sometime to make some more pieces I am sure.

One of my most admired pieces. The exposed bark is a stark contrast to the graceful grain and rosette below it.

A solid piece of Cherry shows the wonderful color of the wood. I left the bark to show that this was indeed wood and not a replica. A small corkscrew grain pattern on the top is curios to even an experience wood worker.

One of the loudest bowls I  have made! The thin sides made a loud screeching sound when turned. An elegant way to show the beautiful walnut.

Cut from the crotch where three branches met, this bowl has a very solid feel in your hand. A great bowl for nuts.

The grain on the side of this piece makes a claw like pattern. This is some of the best grain I have seen in a piece of Black Walnut.

A simple hollow form. A great accent piece on any shelf.
